HIM | Belle of the Bluegrass

I forgot it was Friday today, so excuse the delay on this weeks GUY FRIDAY!
It’s all about my teenage crushes today, skinny guys in bands with tattoos mainly…with a little eye makeup thrown in here and there. There are not going to be many in depth reasons here, I am a sucker for a boy in a band. Particularly lead singers apparently.

Davey Havok from A.F.I. is fairly androgynous, and therefore crush worthy from my female and male friends circa 2003.

Ben Kowalewicz of Billy Talent. I cant even really explain this one to be fair, I just really liked(/like) the band.

Travis Barker the drummer from Blink 182. Skinny, pierced and covered in tattoos. Perfect. Plus he had a mohawk!

Sean Smith of The Blackout. I think this is mainly because of the pink in his hair and the skinny jeans. I really have no other reason for this.

Bam Margera. I had over 1000 (yes thousand) pictures of Bam at one point. I really was “in love” with him. He had tattoos and he was a skater. Erika and I watched anything and everything CKY/Jackass/Haggard/Skate videos and we only hung around with boys and they all skated. Oh to be a teenager!

Mikey Way from My Chemical Romance. This time preferring the bass player to the singer (I never really got the Gerard thing – he always reminded me of the Smashing Pumpkins singer. Scary. Altough I did venture into the whole red eyes thing for a short while). He was cute and he had glasses…

Jared Leto of 30 Seconds To Mars. Well these days he looks a little like Zac Efron and Johnny Depp had a baby (which is always a plus in my book). He can sing and he can act and hes just so pretty. Then theres the ‘guy’liner which he wears so well.

Ville Valo of HIM. Skinny, tatooed and wearing eyeliner. check. He was best mates with Bam Margera too which never hurt. The band are playing a Halloween gig in London this year, which I am still considering as a nostalgic option.

Bert McCracken of The Used. I was fully obsessed with The Used when I was 14/15+ (I still love them, but not in the creepy stalkery way you do when you’re a teenager) and they were my first London Gig at Brixton Academy with Erika and Matt just before my 15th birthday. It was an awesome weekend and I have seen them about 7 times since. I don’t really know why I love Bert so much (bar the times he’s throwing up onstage…)but I do.

Joel and Benji Madden of Good Charlotte. Originally I was more drawn to Benji because of the awesome hair and snakebite lip piercings (swoon), I have evenutally come round to being slightly in love with Joel too though. I really loved(/love) this band. Tattoos and piercings – check!

Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco. I am still very much in love with Brendon, he is so beautiful and oh so talented. Once again, I have seen P!ATD about 6 times now and their sets are always incredible. Another man that can wear eyeliner and a bow tie! I will forever be a sucker for a bow tie!
