You’re everything that I hoped for, that’s why I gave you my all

I came to write about something exciting, but first I am going to vent about the crappy day I am currently having (the exciting bit does come, I promise).
Today began with wiggly anxious feet, which is never the way a lady wishes to arise from her slumber. With too much unsolicited adrenaline my extremities tingle and I need to release this, so feet wiggling like I’m in Footloose is my usual go-to. Checking the time on my phone I realise I still have an hour before my alarm insists I get up. So I attempt to go back to sleep but I am met with the anxious thoughts that accompany my eighties dance movie choreography. Great. Then I receive a text from my sister to inform me that Dolly (the dog) has been sick a lot in the garden. Yippee. By this point it’s clear that I am not going back to sleep. I drag myself out of bed, eyes still mostly asleep whilst I get dressed to walk the dog and face the day. As I head downstairs I am met with an odor of vomit and two huge piles of sick. One of them is a revolting tangle of green slimy grass. Oh joy. As I go towards the back of the house to let the dog in to the garden, what do I see? Oh yes, that would be another 3 piles (this time its the raw chicken from last nights dinner), slick and putrid. Excellent. Then there is more in the garden and more in the living room I discover. Poor dog, clearly shes unwell but also, gross. It’s not even half nine in the morning yet. After spending a fair while doing my best Cinderella before she meets the prince impression, I walk the dog; who spends most of her time eating more grass…
My shopping is due to be delivered between ten and twelve today, so I await its arrival and get on with a multitude of boring house chores. However, the shopping still hasn’t arrived half an hour after the time-slot has ended. Weird. After logging into my account it would appear that I didn’t finish the transaction yesterday so our shopping won’t be coming today. And I haven’t even mentioned my strange enchanted hand that keeps going a little numb every now and then. I get to climb into a dark hole and never come out again now, right?!
Okay, I get that worse things happen at sea and certainly worse things have happened in my life, but today’s morning has felt relentlessly bleak. Roll on tomorrow evening and being with the boy I am incredibly fond of in a place that helps me breathe a little easier (when I’m not feeling anxious anyway *monkey covering eyes emoji*).

Now, onto much better news. On Tuesday the seventeenth of May, this blog hit twenty thousand overall views! I am so excited about this. I never thought I would actually keep up blogging, and I certainly never thought many if any people would want to read it. But I did and you did and now I’ve hit a huge milestone for someone who has just written a whole passage about dog vomit.
Thank you to everyone who reads my blog regularly or if you are entirely new and you’re helping me on my way to thirty thousand. I appreciate every view, every comment and every share I receive. You are all lovely people and I am so pleased that anyone would want to read my work.
I thought that I would link you my Facebook page, so should you wish to keep up to date and notified when a new post is published you can do so. Or, if you are a fellow WordPress user, feel free to hit ‘Follow’.
Here are some of my favourite pieces I have published on here, in case you missed them:

Once again, thank you.

Well, she’s like honey from a bee, like peaches from a tree

A midweek post?! Oh yes it is! I think it is well overdue for a little sprinkling of girl power and that makes it Woman Crush Wednesday! There are oh so many wonderful beautiful ladies that I want to share with you. I am hoping to have the nail tutorial up on Friday, but my nails hate me and keep breaking, so if they behave I shall have it up.
Back to the awesome women though –

Samira Wiley is one of the most flawlessly beautiful women I have ever seen. If you have ever read my blog before, you will know about my total Netflix addiction and thank god I do! Otherwise I never would have seen Orange Is The New Black, which if you haven’t seen it you must sign up immediately and start watching! Samira plays a convict with a heart called Poussey Washington and I am entirely in love with her.

I don’t even know where to start with my love for Carrie Fletcher. Multi-talented, well read, interesting and relateable with the most fabulous hair. Carrie is the sister of Tom Fletcher – lead singer of McFly, and the musical talent runs through her veins too. She is currently playing Éponine Thénardie in the West End production of Les Misérables, with a small hiatus soon to be in the musical stage production of War of the Worlds. Carrie makes lovely YouTube videos where she sits down and chats with her audience (the ‘hopefuls’) about various topics each time that make you feel as if you know her. She has taken on the role of ‘big sister’ and she is wonderful at it, spending hours of her very little free time replying to letters from viewers. A fellow bookworm, there are often book reviews and recommendations too, she is even writing and illustrating marvelously her own book. And those eyes and that hair! I could write a whole post about my love for this lady.

I’ll be honest and say that I don’t know much about Christina Hendricks. I haven’t watched the hugely successful Mad Men (although I plan to at some point), but I do know that her outer packaging is just magnificent. From her enviably gorgeous copper hair to her enviable figure, this lady oozes femininity. From the photos I have seen Christina completely owns the 1960s wardrobe with her curves and sex appeal.

Sue Perkins is my favourite funny foodie woman. I cannot get enough of her on The Great British Bake Off with old friend Mel Giedroyc to bounce off of and I am still mourning the end of her tv programme The Supersizers Go… with Giles Coren. Writer, broadcaster and presenter – Why isn’t this woman on more things?!  I am also sad that they didn’t actually make her the new Doctor Who, a replacement I could have got behind more easily after the regeneration of Matt Smith. Clever, witty and a cake lover – what more do you want?

I got speaking to Lamia Karic through a pen pal post on a Swedish blog written by Sandra Beijer that we both read . We then became Instagram friends (and she has been in my top 5 favourite Instagram accounts) and I am completely addicted to her lovely photos. Her shoulder tattoo is so beautiful and the cheeky one on her thigh says ‘je ne pleurerai pas’ (I will not cry), taken from a favourite we both share The Weeknd’s song Montreal. A lady that knows how to wear monochrome flawlessly, I cannot get enough of her photos.

I recently watched That Awkward Moment (mainly for Zac Efron) but was pleasantly surprised by Imogen Poots’ role. I like that she doesn’t play the cute girl next door, with her intense eyes there is always a little more depth and edge available to her character. Her career has been steady and she has been in many films/tv programmes in the past 8 years. Until recently I think she has been unfairly overlooked and not had the fuss made of her that she should have. I fist saw her in the remake of drama Bouquet of Barbed Wire in 2010 and her angst ridden performance was captivating. All that talent, an incredible figure and a beautiful face – I think this is her time to shine.

George of Fuller Figure Fuller Bust is a nanny by day, super gorgeous plus size model by night. I was a fan of this lady for a while through her blog and her twitter feed but she was really lovely and read by blog post on the harassment I have suffered for being a plus size lady and retweeted it for others to read. It always means a lot when people share the posts that you work hard on, but this post was the rawest I have been on this blog and I am more than thankful to everyone who read it and shared it. With curves to die for I hope George goes as far as she possibly can with her modelling career, she totally deserves it! I am certainly looking forward to seeing some snapshots of her upcoming nuptials…she is going to look incredible.

Ingrid Nilsen, otherwise known as Missglamorazzi on YouTube is is so darn cute! She is my very favourite when it comes to beauty and lifestyle vloggers, with her engaging charismatic charm and goofy wit. Her product reviews are always interesting and fair and her monthly favourite videos are always my monthly favourite. Flawless skin and makeup, super silky hair…can you guess that I am in awe of Ingrid yet? A talented lady with the potential to be stratospheric, Ingrid has now branched out into cooking and recipe videos too. I love her and I am fairly sure you will too!

Angel Adoree is one of my favourite vintage women. The author of The Vintage Party Year, The Vintage Tea Party Book and The Vintage Sweets Book (all of which I own and adore) and proprietor of The Vintage Patisserie, this lady lives in a beautiful world filled with trinkets of the past. An infectiouslu cheeky grin, I wish Angel was a friend of mine. Her books are beautifully filled with whimsical illustrations, templates for party decorations, hints and tips on how to perfect the vintage siren look as well as mouth watering recipes. I love her books and her enthusiasm for the past as well as her beautifully coiffed red victory rolls.

I have loved Rachel Bilson for years, the Summer Roberts and Seth Cohen love saga on The OC was epic when I was a teenager. This teeny tiny lady has been in some of my favourite films (Waiting For Forever, if you haven’t seen it you must!) and tv series (Hart of Dixie, I am not sure I can wait one more day for the new series, let alone 3 months…). You only have to look at her to see why she’s one of Hollywood’s favourites with her waif like frame and sultry seductress looks. I think she is wonderful.

And that concludes this Woman Crush Wednesday. I hope I have introduced you to some ladies that you didn’t know before and some shows/YouTube channels that you may now want to check out.

(I do not own these photos).
